Happy Valentine's Day a couple of days early. Here's the latest news from the Department of Communication.

SUMMER AND FALL INTERNSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC CREDIT
A reminder that this Friday at 1 pm in Strickler 310, it's the first information meeting for Communication students interested in doing summer internships for academic credit.

Please RSVP if you are interested in attending (to stuart.esrock@louisville.edu) and bring a resume and unofficial transcript with you.

To find out information now about internships for credit, Communication students who will have at least 90 hours of credit by the end of this semester should check this link:

WIN A 100 DOLLAR GIFT CARD AT INTERNSHIP FAIR
The Communication Internship Fair is coming up on Thursday, February 28, 11:30-1:30 in the Red Barn. In addition to having the opportunity to meet with more than 25 employers about summer and fall internship opportunities, you will also be entered in a drawing to win one of three $100 gift cards. So be sure to come out - you can't win if you don't attend.

DIVERSITY CAREER FAIR
Next Wednesday, February 20, the UofL Career Development Center hosts the Diversity Career Fair. Employers with particular interests in hiring diversity/multicultural students will be on hand to meet with students about career opportunities. That's next Wednesday, 11 to 1 in the Multipurpose Room of the SAC.

 

NEW YORK SUMMER 2019 PROGRAM
Applications are still being accepted for the Art Bound Initiative New York Summer Program.

ArtBound Initiative is dedicated to emerging creative professionals. They hope to encourage connections between participants, industry leaders and global companies. If you are interested in working in New York in the creative fields, you need to act soon to take advantage of this opportunity. Deadline to apply is February 15.
