2018 ARTS AND SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIPS
The College of Arts and Sciences has a number of scholarships available for returning students. Here are some that might be of interest to Comm students:

Wilma Shaw Roseman Award: for full-time undergraduate students with substantial financial need and evidence of strong motivation to complete a degree. Minimum award is $3000; number of awards varies.

Arthur D. Yocom Scholarship: for an undergraduate student who plans a career in public or community service. Applications from non-traditional students are encouraged. Award is $1000.

Ken Terrill Memorial Award: for undergraduate students who have demonstrated leadership in or service to the LGBT community of UofL. Minimum award is $500. Number of awards vary.

Mary Craik Scholarship for Women Students: for undergraduate or graduate women. Award amounts and number of awards vary.

STUDY ABROAD IN PANAMA
Time still exists for you to go on the 16th annual Study Abroad trip to Panama from May 7-26. You can take two courses in May in Panama for the about the same price as taking two courses in Louisville, but you will get to spend a month in the tropics! STUDY ABROAD FAIR AT THE RED BARN
You may not wish to go to Panama, but there are many other opportunities for studying abroad. Come to the Study Abroad Fair in the Red Barn on January 31 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

SUMMER ADVERTISING INTERNSHIP
The state's oldest advertising agency will again this summer offer six paid internships to junior and senior students. Doe-Anderson's internship program places the students into an integrated team guided by agency leaders to work on a campaign for an existing client; this year the project will focus on Texas Roadhouse.

This internship program begins in late May and runs until the end of July. Application deadline is March 2. For details & instructions on how to apply, check the internship bulletin board in the Strickler hallway.

PAID BROADCAST POSITIONS

LEARN ABOUT CAREERS IN ADVERTISING
The Career Development Center will be hosting a free Career Trek to Power Creative this Friday for students interested in a career in marketing and advertising.
